These ceremonial rattles are sourced and crafted with deep reverence for the land, sea and animal kingdoms. They are birthed by Gill Hastie of Kindly Light, a gifted artist, fellow shamanic practitioner and spiritual sister.

The materials for these rattles is foraged, sourced and prepared by Gill, including the hides, pelts, stones, seeds, flowers, leaves and woods, compassionately and ethically sourced and most often from animals that have passed naturally and have presented themselves to her on her sacred quests and woodland walks in and around the land and water of the Tay estuary in Scotland. Their teachings and medicine live on through her incredible works.

The process of birthing each rattle can take many months. The dyes used for the hides are botanical, using an extraction of the natural colours from the preparation of organic flowers, leaves, berries and spices. The sacred sound comes from a range of crystals, dried berries and seeds within the head of the rattle, specifically chosen for the spirit of every rattle.
